I noticed that the students had some difficulties, especially with keeping their work organized and understanding number placement.First, many students had trouble organizing their work. They sometimes placed numbers in the wrong columns or forgot to include certain place values, like tens or hundreds, making it hard for them to round correctly.Another issue was with understanding the number line for rounding. Some students had difficulty seeing which number a value was closest to when rounding to the nearest ten.
