It is a complex issue that has continuously thwarted attempts to manage or resolve it (Hsiung et al., 2022). In response, various prevention programs, such as the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) and LifeSkills Training (LST), have been developed to address the devastating impacts of Substance Use Disorders (SUD).Thesis: This paper will look at two major substance use prevention programs in the U.S. " SFP and LST. It will evaluate their structure, goals, funding, effectiveness, and impact on communities. The analysis will show how these programs work to reduce the risk of substance abuse through family
